Endearing male ruby-throated hummingbird digital file

$14.00

I kept seeing the blurs of hummingbirds around my yard so I decided to get a hummingbird feeder in the hopes that I’d see them for longer and maybe even take their picture to paint. It took a few days until the found the feeder and decided it was safe to eat at. Then I started seeing more of them but still mostly just their buzz and tiny quickly moving, itty bitty things from far away. The videos I got were to far away to see to paint, so I decided to stand by my kitchen counter on in front of the window where the feeder is hung and off for two days, poised with the camera and my finger hovering over the video button since they moved so fast. At one point, I was actually sitting in my kitchen sink. I finally got videos of not on the female but the male as well. I was so excited, I screamed with joy and giggled loudly with something of unbelief. I caught them on camera. Then of course, I proceeded to paint them. I painted painting after painting of these beautiful, God-created creatures. And here online, I am sharing with you a few of them. I hope you enjoy this beautiful hummingbird. The male has the most beautiful red feathers on his throat that almost look like scales up close. They sparkle so brilliantly in the sun. Here I was able to catch his endearing look that I love so much. He reminds me of a narwhal at this angle which he really looks like more head on.

Original painting is approximately 6×9 in.

Digital file will be a pdf with no crop marks that was professionally scanned at local print shop. This version is great for printing on blank cards since there are no crop marks but can also be printed larger as a print to frame. This does not mean that the painting is from edge to edge of the paper, just that there will be no printed crop markings.

You will receive a secure link to the file lasting 24 hours after the first download.

This file and all products printed from them are for personal use only. Not for re-sale.
